TEMPLE OF LEAH in BUSAY

A Philippine version of Taj Mahal owned by Teodorico Adarna, the father of Ellen Adarna. Wonder why the temple named Leah? It's from his wife's name Leah Villa Albino-Adarna. The temple was built to show his love for his wife. (ahhhh......)

Feels like you're in Rome.

 Went here around 3pm.

A sneak preview inside the temple. Didn't get the chance to get in because of the crowd. I think I need to pay another visit (maybe later in the afternoon?)

The area has its on going construction so don't expect too much.
We have to wait for the best. :)

Entrance fee is only 50.00
If you have your private vehicle, there's a parking area near to the place. And oh, it's only 15 minute away from JY Square Lahug where you can find Habal-habal (motorcycle for hire).

Canyoneering in Alegria to Badian

Wanna know what's the most amazing extreme outdoor activities these days? CANYONEERING!
From Kanlaob, Alegria to Kawasan Falls in Barangay Matutinao, Badian

HOW TO GET THERE: From Cebu City, you need to go to South Bus Terminal and find a CERES BUS bound to BATO via BARILI. I think it'll cost you 150 pesos for the bus, I'm not so sure 'bout this since I went there with my motorbike.

Tell the bus driver to make a stop in Kawasan Falls. From there, you can pick your "canyoneering man (hahahaha!). I suggest you pick the trained and matured tour guide since this is a risky adventure. Don't let your life be at risk, choose the right one for you.

Stayed in Batong Malunhaw beach resort for a night cos I want to start my activity in the morning. This cost me 800 pesos for the room. The place is quite and near to the beach. The staff is accommodating and they also have a pool (i didn't get the chance to dip in their pool cos they're not able to clean it. Sad ey? ) But I'm not here for the pool so.. This is the view from the resort.

From the highway, we took a 15-minute motorcycle ride (habal-habal)  to Barangay Kanlaob where the first jump-off area is located. Riding the habal-habal is already an adventure itself - make sure you have your balance and hold tight while riding on it, since you go all the way up to the mountains.

Before the activity, I made sure my tummy is ready. This cost me like less than 100 pesos.. this restaurant is close to the corner to Kanlaob.

Now I'm in! Wooo! The start of heart pumping. :)
And so I did my first jump..

Behind me is Yael. An honest, thoughtful, and accommodating travel guide. You can contact him with this number 0935-4124-939. A cost of 1,200 pesos for the activity is so worth it. It comes with lunch, gears, entrance (Kanlaob) and exit (Kawasan) already.

It is! It is full of waterfall jumping, trekking, swimming, sliding...asdgjhaebrmakr! hahahaha! I never had this kind of fun before since this kind of activity is heart pumping or let's just say death-defying one. And yes! I conquered my fear! From jumping long heights :)
Some didn't try to jump the long ones - there are detours (walking). But since I don't wanna miss a jump, I ignored the detours. :P

Jumped all the falls - sadly, my gopro gave up (low battery) on my last jump which is 70ft. I will definitely go back there to have a video on my last jump. hahaha!

(SAMOK ANG HELMET!)

I so love the nature that surrounds the crystal clear water. The high trees and the stones sculptured by the nature itself. So love the experience. Another amazing artwork made by His own hands.

Thank God for this beautiful place. I enjoyed. Another unfathomable feeling.

A piece of advice, always listen to your tour guide. One step, jump. Running jump. Step here, step there.

Anyhow, they're not going to force you if you're going to jump or not.

So, this is my canyoneering man. hahaha! Peace kuya sir Yael.
This is our lunch - all in the package! :)

Trust me - you can trust him. :D

Crate Cafe in Busay

Coffee in a crate! A perfect escape from a densely populated urban area while drinking your favorite coffee..

One thing that makes this coffee shop different.. is the view!

By private vehicle or habal - habal (motorcycle) this place will take about 10-15 minutes away from JY Square Mall right before Maria Luisa - Busay Gate.

The sad part is they're not available 24/7.. maybe because it's far from the city. Whatever the reason is.. still, they're worth a try :)

Take note: Open on weekdays except Mondays starting from 7:00AM-10:00AM, 5:00PM-10:00PM
And on weekends 7:00AM-10:00PM.

PAROLA in Liloan Cebu (also known as Bagacay Point Lighthouse)

(History naman paminsan minsan)

This lighthouse is located in the North part of Cebu which is Brgy. Catarman, Liloan. If you are going to ride a jeepney or a bus it’ll take an hour or so because of the heavy traffic. But if you have a motorbike then it’ll take you like 30 minutes (depends on your speed).

From Cebu City you have to take the Cebu North Road (Central Nautical Highway) and locate the Liloan Municipal Hall. You can ask the people there and they’ll give you directions with a smile (if you wanna make sure). So, from municipal hall you take the right turn and just drive all the way to Petron Station. From there, you take left then go straight to Amara Subdivision (but of course, you don’t need to go inside the subdivision). Just go straight and you’ll see the lighthouse 2km before the destination.

Went there on a weekend and in the area, there are kids playing. Some went from swimming and some were dating. There’s nothing much about the place aside from the rich history of the lighthouse which was built for over a hundred years. Until now, it serves as guiding light to mariners.

Sirao Flower Farm in Busay Cebu Philippines

Wanna go there?
If you have a private vehicle, you can start looking where JY Square Lahug is then you go up to Marco Polo Hotel and just drive all the way to Canada drive where you are going to make a right turn to Sirao (your landmark before the Canada drive is the Ayala Heights). After making a right turn, you’ll be in a wide road going up and on your left side you’ll see a police station. Just go straight, follow the road and you’ll see a lot of colorful flowers. By the way, you don’t need to worry about directions – there are lots of signs/placards/streamers posted on the road sides. And oh, there’s a 20 pesos entrance fee to the flower farm (updated February 2016).
If you don’t have a vehicle, again, you go to JY Square Lahug then you’ll see a lot of habal – habal (motorcycle). The fare would be 60 pesos from JY Square to Sirao Flower Farm. If you’re planning for a round trip then that will cost you 200 pesos.
Sirao flower farm is not available the whole year round since celosia blossoms only up to 8 – 10 weeks. So, hurry! Grab your cameras and take a selfie ;)
